Kinetech Arts Featured Artist Program presents musician and composer George Hurd, and dancer and choreographer Rosemary Hannon.

George Hurd is a San Francisco-based composer whose work is focused on chamber music, electronic music, and the fascinating world where they intersect. He formed The Hurd Ensemble in 2009, an electroacoustic chamber group made up of some of the Bay Area’s best musicians, dedicated to performing his compositions for chamber ensemble and electronics.

Rosemary Hannon, Dancer: “I dance. I make performances about fear, femininity, perseverance, time, old stories, ordinary/enactive perception, and bodies. I create contexts/constraints to investigate real feelings during entertainments. Compositional rituals make me think that deep conversation is possible. I like to make dances that are comic tragedies. I also perform in the work of other choreographers, teach and organize dance events.”

Kinetech Arts is a dance company that presents kinetic, interactive and innovative performances using technologies that requires awareness and spontaneous communication, transporting performers and audience to a multidimensional space.

Our weekly Open Lab provides the community with a rich and creative environment to connect and explore new ideas with artists, scientists and technologists, enriching their lives with new information, humor, shenanigans and lots of fun.

Kinetech Arts Featured Artist Program is a monthly salon showcasing the works of some of the most interesting creators, artists, makers and thinkers today.
