Kinetech Arts hosts a monthly Features Artist Presentation, bringing together two interesting local artists in an evening of conversation, demonstration and art.
This month, Jasper Patterson-de Tarr and Christine Germain will present and discuss their work.
Jasper Patterson-de Tarr is a director of multimedia theater with a B.A. from Bard College He began his life in the travelling vaudeville and world. Recently he has produced events for the fringe of new art + tech for projection mapping, virtual and mixed reality, and 3d motion sensors. Currently CEO of a content studio for storytelling and new media with an emphasis on the connection a live performer can bring to technology.
Christine Germain is a movement explorer, dancer and choreographer. Her choreography brings attention to the subtleties of human gestures and to the refinement of movement exploration. Germain recently received the “Outstanding Choreographer” Award by BayAreaDanceWatch for her work about social issues from 2010-2014. Her piece Le Projet Migration earned her the “Most Promising Choreographer” award at the 2012 Montreal Fringe Festival in 2012. She has performed In England, India, Canada and the United States.
